CuePad Player
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 28, 2026
1. Introduction
KF Starck Enterprises AB (Swedish organization number 559124-4495) ("we", "us", or "our") operates the CuePad Player mobile application (the "App"). The App is distributed globally and is available on iOS and Android under the package identifier app.cuepadplayer.
For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable laws, KF Starck Enterprises AB is the data controller for any personal data we process in connection with the App.
This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. CuePad Player is designed to store your data locally on your device. We do not operate a backend, user accounts, cloud storage, analytics, or advertising services for the App. We do not collect, receive, or store your library, audio files, or usage data on our servers.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following information locally on your device to provide its core functionality:
- Your library (tabs, pad names, colors, order, and playback settings such as fade and loop)
- Audio files you import or generate in the App
- App preferences (language and display settings)
- License state for this installation (trial start date and, if applicable, subscription status on this device)
This data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to KF Starck Enterprises AB.
3. What we do not collect
Because the App has no backend, we do not collect or store:
- Your name, email address, or other account details (the App has no user accounts)
- Your audio library, pad layout, or playback history
- Location data, contacts, or microphone recordings
- Advertising identifiers or analytics events
- Payment card details
We do not sell personal data. We do not use the App for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
4. How we use information
Information stored on your device is used solely to operate the App — for example, to play your pads, remember your library, and keep track of the trial or subscription on that device. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
5. Third-party services
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those stores process the information needed to distribute the App and, if you subscribe, to handle in-app purchases, billing, and restore. We do not receive your payment card details. Purchases are subject to Apple's or Google's own terms and privacy policies.
You may import or export files using the system file picker, including files stored in your own Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, or similar services. Those requests happen on your device, under your account with that provider. We do not operate those services, we do not receive a copy of files you save there, and we do not send your library to them on your behalf except as you choose through the picker or share sheet.
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of Apple, Google, and any storage provider you use.
6. Information we process
Although the App stores library data locally on your device, we may process limited personal data when you contact us by email — for example, your email address and the content of your message — so we can respond to your inquiry.
We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing customer support, or where necessary to perform a contract with you. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. Your privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability where applicable.
Because App data is stored on your device and not on our servers, we cannot access or delete your library or audio files on your behalf. You can manage or delete that data directly in the App or by uninstalling the App.
To exercise rights relating to data we hold — such as email correspondence — contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY). If you live in another EEA country, you may contact your local data protection authority.
8. International users
The App is available worldwide. If you use the App outside the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, local privacy laws may also apply. Regardless of where you use the App, we aim to handle any personal data we receive in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
9. Data retention and deletion
All App data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device, including imported audio files stored by the App.
Backups or shared packages that you save outside the App (for example in Files, email, or your own cloud folder) remain under your control until you delete them there.
Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we cannot delete data on your behalf.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country for consent to information society services, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
