Starck Enterprises ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Ride Timer mobile application (the "App"), available on iOS and Android under the package identifier com.ridetimer.app.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. Ride Timer is designed to store your data locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts, cloud storage, or analytics services for the App.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following information locally on your device to provide its core functionality:

• Timing sessions (labels, start and end times)
• Timing records (rider names, horse names, durations, notes, and outcomes)
• Competition metadata when linked to a provider (meeting and class details)
• App preferences (language and display settings)

This data is stored in a local database on your device and is not transmitted to Starck Enterprises.

3. How we use information

Information stored on your device is used solely to operate the App — for example, to display your timing history, run the stopwatch, and remember your preferences. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

4. Third-party services

When you use competition linking, the App retrieves publicly available competition data from online.equipe.com. Requests are made directly from your device to Equipe Online. We do not send your personal information to Equipe Online on your behalf.

Equipe Online operates under its own terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies if you use this feature.

5. Data retention and deletion

All App data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we cannot delete data on your behalf.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
