Ride Timer

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 29, 2026

1. Introduction

KF Starck Enterprises AB (Swedish organization number 559124-4495) ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Ride Timer mobile application (the "App"). The App is distributed globally and is available on iOS and Android under the package identifier com.ridetimer.app.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable laws, KF Starck Enterprises AB is the data controller for any personal data we process in connection with the App.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. Ride Timer is designed to store your data locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts, cloud storage, or analytics services for the App.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following information locally on your device to provide its core functionality:

  • Timing sessions (labels, start and end times)
  • Timing records (rider names, horse names, durations, notes, and outcomes)
  • Competition metadata when linked to a provider (meeting and class details)
  • App preferences (language and display settings)

This data is stored in a local database on your device and is not transmitted to KF Starck Enterprises AB.

3. How we use information

Information stored on your device is used solely to operate the App — for example, to display your timing history, run the stopwatch, and remember your preferences. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

4. Third-party services

When you use competition linking, the App retrieves publicly available competition data from online.equipe.com. Requests are made directly from your device to Equipe Online. We do not send your personal information to Equipe Online on your behalf.

Equipe Online operates under its own terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies if you use this feature.

5. Information we process

Although the App stores timing data locally on your device, we may process limited personal data when you contact us by email — for example, your email address and the content of your message — so we can respond to your inquiry.

We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing customer support, or where necessary to perform a contract with you. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Your privacy rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability where applicable.

Because App data is stored on your device and not on our servers, we cannot access or delete your timing records on your behalf. You can manage or delete that data directly in the App or by uninstalling the App.

To exercise rights relating to data we hold — such as email correspondence — contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY). If you live in another EEA country, you may contact your local data protection authority.

7. International users

The App is available worldwide. If you use the App outside the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, local privacy laws may also apply. Regardless of where you use the App, we aim to handle any personal data we receive in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

8. Data retention and deletion

All App data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we cannot delete data on your behalf.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country for consent to information society services, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
